(TSXV: SAGE) (OTCQB: SGPTF) announced its subsidiary, Sage Potash (USA) Corporation, secured a US$14 million grant from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to support construction of a 300,000 tonnes-per-year potash project in Utah’s Paradox Basin.
The USDA grant supports domestic potash capacity, aiding U.S. farmers, according to Tim Mizuno, President and COO. Potash, a vital plant nutrient, sees over 90% of U.S. consumption imported. The company is positioned to boost domestic potash production and enhance supply chain security, said CEO Peter Hogendoorn. Potash was added to the draft list of critical minerals on August 25, 2025.
